Hey friends! It’s already week 5 of the One Room Challenge! If you’re here for the first time, I’m joining Linda at Calling it Home as a guest participant blogger and transforming my youngest daughter’s bedroom within 6 weeks. In case you missed the first 4 weeks, I’ve attached the links below so you can catch up.

Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4

If you read my post on Monday, I shared how I added wallpaper panels to Emmy’s room. I chose the Petal Pusher design from Hygge and West and I think it adds a nice bold contrast to the room. If you’re thinking about adding wallpaper to your space without having to actually apply them to the walls, this is great alternative. I can easily remove them and change up the room in the future without any hassle. This is great for people like me who suffer from DMS aka Decor Moving Syndrome. HA!

The vintage desk didn’t end up in the room for different reasons so I brought in my son’s black desk instead. I have to say, I’m not mad about not having to paint something else! I’m going to recover Emmy’s antique bench with this bold striped Ikea fabric that I already had on hand.

I found the black and white basket on clearance at Joanns last week when I was buying some fabric. It’s perfect for Emmy’s books and will sit next to the reading chair.

My husband installed the semi-flush lighting from Lighting Design Company and it is a beauty. Next week is the Final Reveal so I’ll be finishing up the last touches to the room. I’ll be busy staging, photographing and editing to share the complete transformation! Be sure to catch all the designer bloggers’ progress as well as all of the participant bloggers for a ton of inspiration.

Thank you for reading!
